The No. 9 Wasson Thunderbirds battled the Cañon City Tigers in Colorado Springs Friday night and the Coronado Cougars played host the the Liberty Lancers in 4A high school boys basketball action.

Wasson topped Cañon City 73-58
Liberty got by Coronado 52-37
The Classical Academy beat Florence 55-40
