BRONCOS SIGN SEVEN PLAYERS TO PRACTICE SQUAD

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos signed seven players to their practice squad roster on Sunday, it was announced.
Six of the seven players signed to the practice squad competed with the Broncos during the preseason. The exception is running back Edwin Baker (information below).
The following players were signed to the Broncos’ practice squad on Sunday (team still has one spot remaining on squad):

Baker (5-8, 200 pounds) is a second-year player who competed on San Diego’s practice squad (first 15 weeks) and active roster (final two weeks) during his rookie season in 2012 after being selected by the Chargers in the seventh round (250th overall) of the NFL Draft.
He played 35 career games for Michigan State University and finished with 462 rushes for 2,293 yards (5.0 avg.) with 19 touchdowns before foregoing his senior season for the NFL. During his 2010 campaign, he rushed for 1,201 yards and 13 touchdowns on 207 attempts (5.8 avg.) to earn first-team All-Big Ten Conference recognition by the league media.
A graduate of Oak Park High in Highland Park, Mich., Edwin Baker was born on June 1, 1991.
