BRONCOS SIGN DE BRANDON MOORE TO PRACTICE SQUAD; RELEASE WR CHAD BUMPHIS

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Wednesday signed defensive end Brandon Moore to their practice squad and released wide receiver Chad Bumphis, it was announced.
Moore (6-5, 317 pounds) is a rookie from the University of Texas who was signed by San Diego as a college free agent on May 13. He competed with the Chargers during training camp before spending the first 12 weeks of the season on the club’s practice squad.
He started his college career at East Mississippi Community College, helping his squad to the Junior College National Championship in 2011 before transferring to play for the Longhorns in 2012. He played in 12 games (5 starts) as a junior for Texas and totaled 18 tackles, two sacks and eight tackles for a loss.
A two-way all-state lineman at Carver High School in Montgomery, Ala., Moore was born on April 7, 1991.
