ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Tuesday activated center J.D. Walton to their 53-man roster and placed guard John Moffit on their reserve/left squad list, it was announced.
Moffitt’s reserve/left squad designation allows the team a five-day roster exemption for him.
Walton (6-3, 305 pounds) is a fourth-year player who began his career starting 36 consecutive games for the Broncos at center before being placed on injured reserve (ankle) four weeks into the 2012 season. He was designated as reserve/PUP following the 2013 preseason and began practicing with the team again three weeks ago.
Moffitt has seen action in two games for the Broncos this season since being acquired from Seattle on Aug. 20 in exchange for defensive tackle Sealver Siliga.
