EUGENE, Ore. – Air Force senior Annette Eichenberger concluded her impressive collegiate career with a 14th-place finish in the national semifinals of the 800-meter run at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., on Wednesday, June 11.
Clocking a time of 2:05.82 in windy conditions at Historic Hayward Field, Eichenberger finished fourth in her heat and 14th overall in the 24-runner semifinal. The recently commissioned second lieutenant was fifth after the first 400 meters, posting an initial split of 59.98. Running 1:05.85 over the final lap, Eichenberger made her way to the outside of the pack to finish within the top half of the field.
While the season is complete for Air Force, the NCAA Outdoor Championships run through Saturday.
