WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Josh Donaldson hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning and Sacramento topped Colorado Springs 5-1 on Friday night before 11,778 fans at Raley Field.
The River Cats earned a four-game split with the Sky Sox, and Sacramento remains 1.0-game behind first-place Fresno in the Pacific Coast League South Division standings.
Four Sacramento pitchers combined to allow six hits and strike out six. Starting River Cats pitcher Travis Banwart allowed two hits and three walks over 4.0 scoreless innings.
