Broncos coach Mike Shanahan gives his team mixed grades in the season opener against Buffalo.
The Broncos outgained Buffalo 470 yards to 184 on Sunday, but didn't lead until the clock hit all zeros on Jason Elam's 42-yard field goal.
Shanahan says the offense and defense played well, but the Broncos still only beat Buffalo by a score of 15-14.
Eight of the Broncos' ten drives ended in Buffalo territory, yet they managed just one touchdown and three field goals.
Shanahan says a lot of mistakes were made, but the team did some good things too.
