Barry Bonds hit his 762nd home run and the San Francisco Giants beat the Colorado Rockies 5-3 last night to avoid a sweep.
Bonds was 1-for-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch. He has 54 career home runs against the Rockies. The slugger broke Hank Aaron's record with his 756th homer last month.
Pedro Feliz tripled, homered and drove in two runs. Bengie Molina added a solo home run for the Giants, who snapped a four-game losing streak.
The Rockies tried to come back, with Troy Tulowitzki hitting a two-run single off Brad Hennessey in the ninth. But the rally ended there.
The Rockies have tonight off.
