The Colorado Rockies have lost right-handed starters Aaron Cook and Jason Hirsh for the rest of the season.
Cook was the team's opening day starter but was placed on the 15-day disabled list August 20th. He was sidelined for the year when he re-injured his left abdomen in a rehab start Saturday night for Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Hirsh broke his right fibula when he was hit by a line drive off the bat of Milwaukee's J.J. Hardy on August 7th. Hirsh stayed in the game, but X-rays turned up the broken bone.
The Rockies have recalled right-handed pitcher Denny Bautista, left-hander Dan Serafini and infielder Omar Quintanilla from Colorado Springs.
