Todd Sauerbrun got a head start on his redemption and all the work he could have wanted as the Denver Broncos beat Arizona 21-3 last night.
The Broncos' backups were throttled most of the night, but quarterback Darrell Hackney guided Denver on three touchdown drives, two of which were capped by short runs from fellow rookie free agent Andre Hall.
Denver, however, was forced to punt four times in its first five possessions, and the only one on the Broncos who could have been happy about that was Sauerbrun.
He was jettisoned by the Broncos last season after serving a four-game suspension for using the banned dietary aid ephedra. He re-signed with Denver in the offseason and averaged 52.9 yards on seven punts last night and boomed some very nice kickoffs.
