Broncos Sign Cedric Cobbs

A familiar face is returning to the Broncos backfield.

Cedric Cobbs was waived May 1st after carrying three times for nine yards last year, but he was re-signed yesterday because of the dearth of injuries to Broncos' ball carriers.

Neither starter Travis Henry nor backup Mike Bell are available to play Saturday's preseason game against the Browns. And with Andre Hall out, coach Mike Shanahan was left with just two healthy tailbacks in converted fullback Cecil Sapp and rookie free agent Selvin Young.

Shanahan says there's a good chance Cobbs will have some playing time this weekend.

To make room for Cobbs, the Broncos waived tackle Jacob Rogers.
