KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Larry Johnson agreed to a six-year contract extension and joined the Kansas City Chiefs for practice today. The veteran running back had been absent from training camp since it opened July 27th.
Johnson has broken the Chiefs' single-season rushing record in each of the past two seasons. He ran for 1,789 yards last year and set an NFL record with 416 carries.
The team fined him more than $19,000 per day during his holdout.
