PIKES PEAK, CO - Nobuhiro Tajima did it! He finally broke the record he had been after for over a decade.

Tajima made the record-breaking run up Pikes Peak in 10:01 in his Suzuki Grand Vitara. The previous record of 10:04 was set by Rod Millen in 1994.

Tajima said he is thrilled with his new record but he now wants to return in 2008 to break the ten-minute barrier.
