AFA football loses offensive coordinator

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- Air Force football coach Troy Calhoun is shuffling the duties of his assistant coaches after his newly hired offensive coordinator resigned.

Tim Horton departed the academy to become an assistant coach at Arkansas. Horton who is an Arkansas alum is replacing Danny Nutt as running backs coach after Nutt resigned for health reasons.

Calhoun plans to fill Horton's position by making offensive line coach Clay Hendrix and quarterbacks coach Blane Morgan co-offensive coordinators. And running backs coach Jemal Singleton will be running game coordinator. Calhoun still plans to call plays during games.

The Falcons began fall practice in about two weeks.
