FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -- So why would a (m) millionaire N-F-L player sign his new four-year contract anyplace other than the home of his new team?

For Clint Oldenburg, it's a matter of honor.

The 23-year-old inked a deal with the New England Patriots yesterday -- in Fort Collins -- with Colorado State coach Sonny Lubick (LOO'-bik) and offensive line coach Darrell Frank by his side.

Oldenburg graduated in December with a degree in journalism.

He says C-S-U is where he got the opportunity to become a college football player, and wanted to sign his contract there as a way of honoring the school.

Lubick says he's not surprised, calling Oldenburg an athlete who "knows where he comes from."

His non-guaranteed deal is worth two-and-a-half (m) million dollars, and includes a signing bonus worth 141-thousand dollars.

Oldenburg enters training camp as a third-team guard.
