The University of Dallas couldn’t have picked a better day to face Colorado College.

Playing without senior point guard Jarrell Sweet for the second consecutive day, the Tigers coughed up 17 turnovers and made just 16 of 29 free-throw attempts during a 66-55 loss to the Crusaders in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon.

UD built a 13-point lead with just under five minutes remaining and made six of seven free throws during the final minute to secure the victory. Colorado College pulled to within 59-54 after Jesse Lehrich sank a pair of free throws, but the Crusaders outscored CC 7-1 the rest of the way.

Nick Rose recorded his second-double-double of the season with a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Brady Ohlsen added his fourth double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Ohlsen became the 13th player in CC history to record 500 or more career rebounds, finishing the game with 507. He also ranks No. 21 on the career scoring list with 873 points.

Dallas, which had been idle since Wednesday night, had five players finish with double-figure points, led by Travis Ekmark and Barrett Brown with 12 apiece. Ekmark completed a double-double with a game-high 16 rebounds.

CC slipped to 11-10 overall, while the Crusaders improved to 10-11.

Colorado College plays host to Southwestern University on Friday night.
