DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado Avalanche have re-signed forward Tyler Arnason to a two-year contract that will keep him with the team through the 2008-2009 season.
The 28-year-old Arnason had 16 goals and 33 assists last year, ranking sixth on the team with 49 points.
He was third on the team in shots with 211, fifth in assists and sixth in goals.
Arnason was also one of only five Avalanche players who appeared in every game last season. He's now played all 82 games in three of the past four seasons.
Chicago drafted Arnason in the seventh round, 183rd overall, in 1998. He signed a free-agent contract with the Avalanche in July 2006.
He skated for the U.S. National Team at the 2007 I-I-H-F World Championship in Moscow, tallying one goal and three assists in seven games.
Arnason has 192 career points in 346 games.
