DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado Rockies traded right-hander Byung-Hyun Kim to the Florida Marlins for right-handed pitcher Jorge Julio today.
Kim was 1-and-2 with a 10.50 ERA in three appearances for the Rockies this season before going on the disabled list with a bruised right thumb on April 16th. He has made five starts at Triple-A Colorado Springs on his rehab assignment, going 1-and-1 with a 2.96 ERA in 24 and a third innings.
Julio was 0-and-2 with a 12.54 ERA in ten relief appearances for the Marlins. He was on the DL from April 18th to May 3rd with a strained right calf.
Rockies general manager Dan O'Dowd calls it "a trade of one guy struggling for another guy struggling."
