It was a banner day at CSCS High School.

Friday morning the school celebrated two state championships at a morning assembly. Last week, the Lions Boys Soccer team won a state championship by beating Denver Christian, 3-1. Four days later the Volleyball team beat Valley to capture its sixth-straight title.

"It's a big deal for our school and a big accomplishment," admits CSCS Volleyball captain, Hannah Walker. "I think our school takes a lot of pride in it."

That pride was on display on Friday morning as hundreds of students, faculty and parents packed the Lions Den to congratulate the two teams on a rare feat.

CSCS soccer player Michael Gills says, "It's really cool. Usually we're luck to have one state champion, but this year we had two."
