Pueblo Central continues to roll in 2009. The Wildcats improved to 9-0 on the season with a 18-13 win over Canon City.
Both Pueblo County and Falcon had already clinched playoff spots, but they met Friday night with second place on the line, and the Falcons take down the Hornets 24-12.

Pueblo Central continues to roll in 2009. The Wildcats improved to 9-0 on the season with a 18-13 win over Canon City.

Pine Creek had already wrapped up at least a share of the Pikes Peak title in 4A, and by virtue of tiebreakers they will be the division champ regardless of what happens next week at Sand Creek. Friday night the Eagles faced district rival 5A Rampart and they disected the Rams 26-0.
A battle for second also on the line in the Pikes Peak conference between Pueblo West and Fountain-Fort Carson, and the Cyclones rolled to a 35-6 win.
Mesa Ridge was on the outside looking in when it came to playoff standings, only 16 teams make the playoffs and the Grizzlies were sitting at number 17. However, the Griz were rolled by Cheyenne Mountain 40-12.
Air Academy had their hands full last night as they have all season long, they fell to Castle View 41-0.
Harrison and Sierra met up with District 2 bragging rights on the line and Sierra takes the honors this year 39-17.
At Gerry Berry Stadium, Coronado still searching for its first win of the season, they don't get it, Mitchell takes them down again 40-28.
In 1A football, only 10 miles separates Peyton and Calhan.
Friday night, the folks from Panther country made the short drive out east to bulldog country for the annual highway 24 rivalry and Peyton wins it 27-13.
In 2A, St. Mary's was looking to snap a four-game losing streak, but it doesn't happen. The Pirates fall to Salida 28-13.
