The 4A and 5A State Softball Championship brackets were released on Monday at noon.
Fountain-Fort Carson is the only Southern Colorado school in the 5A tournament. The Lady Trojans take the 16th seed into the tournament and will face number one Legacy in the opening round on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
Pueblo East headlines the 4A bracket with the number one overall seed in the tournament. The Eagles will play against number 16 D'Evelyn on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the first round.
Pueblo South has the number three seed in the 4A tournament and will play its first game against Montrose. That game will be played on Friday at 12:15 p.m.
Discovery Canyon also made the tournament and was awarded the eighth seed.
Palmer Ridge enters the playoffs with the 15th seed.
All games from the 3A, 4A and 5A State Tournaments will be played at Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, Colorado.
