All-Star outfielder Matt Holliday and the Colorado Rockies both have something to prove Friday night as Colorado starts a three-day series at Oakland.

Holliday was acquired by the Athletics in an offseason trade with Colorado. But he's hitting just .269 with eight homers this season. And the A's have lost 10 of their last 15 games.

The Rockies broke out of their early season funk minus Holliday and are 19-7 under new manager Jim Tracy. They enter the weekend series after losing back-to-back contests against the Angels.
