Avalanche left winger Cody McLeod has signed a new contract with the team that will pay him $3.1 million through the 2011-12 season.

McLeod made $522,500 last season when he scored 15 goals to be the Avs' third-leading scorer. McLeod also lead the team in hits with 194.

The contract was announced Saturday.

Joe Sakic and Ian Laperriere are among the Avs players that remain unrestricted free agents, while Peter Budaj, David Jones and Kyle Cumiskey remain restricted free agents.
