Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall made an appearance on a national TV show over the weekend in response to accusations of past physical abuse.
ESPN's Outside the Lines cited seven instances of domestic violence over a 2 year period involving Marshall and his former girlfriend Rasheeda Watley.
The program aired multiple 911 calls Watley made, including one in 2007 from a taxi in Douglas County. In that call, Watley told the operator "He's going to break the #### glass. He's going to break the ##### window. ... He's crazy. He's attacking the car."
After the airing of the report, Marshall was interviewed live and denied ever physically abusing Watley.
"This is clearly about money," Marshall said on the program. "In that tape recording that's me, I'm angry. She took my Blackberry and I was trying to get my phone back."
Marshall said he didn't hit the taxi but "tapped on the glass to get the taxi driver's attention."
It isn't clear if Marshall might be facing a possible second suspension from the NFL for off-the-field problems. He was suspended for three games at the start of last season but the suspension was reduced to one game.
