Tom Runnells: "Promotion to Rockies bittersweet"

Tom Runnells is loving his new gig as the bench coach for the Colorado Rockies, however he says his promotion from Colorado Springs is bittersweet.

Runnells was in his fourth year as manager of the Sky Sox and the team was off to one of their best starts in years. Runnels says everybody in baseball wants to be in the big leagues, but he says it was hard to leave because he was having so much fun this year.

Runnells was promoted to the major leagues to serve as the bench coach for the Colorado Rockies when Clint Hurdle was fired by the club on Friday.
