Salida's Emily Wood Wins 4A State Golf Title

Emily Wood of Salida ran away from the field after posting a 1 over 75 after the first round and a 77 in the final round of the Class 4A state girls golf championship at Patty Jewett Golf Course.

Wood finished seven strokes ahead of second place Kathleen Kershisnik of Regis.

In the team competition, Wood's score helped Salida to a second place tie with Cheyenne Mountain. Rock Canyon won the girls overall team title.
