Slauson drafted by NY Jets

Former Air Academy Kadet Matt Slauson is headed to the NFL. Slauson was taken by the New York Jets in the sixth round.

Slauson played college football at the University of Nebraska.

The 6-foot-5, 316-pound Slauson started 21 of 25 games the past two years, including all 13 at right guard in 2008. The native of Colorado Springs, Colo., played three different positions on the line as a junior

Slauson graduated from Air Academy High School in 2003 before he played one year at the USAFA Prep School.
