So much for Joe Koshansky taking over for Todd Helton some day.
The former Sky Sox first baseman was claimed by the Texas Rangers off the waiver wire on Sunday.
Koshansky hit .300 with 31 home runs for the Sky Sox in 2009. He also led the Pacific Coast League with 121 RBIs. However he did struggle in short stints with the Rockies hitting just .211 with three home runs.
Koshansky will not start the season with the Rangers. He was optioned to Triple-A, Oklahoma City.
