The University of Denver Pioneers and the Colorado College Tigers fought to a 1-1 draw in the season finale for both teams as each heads into the playoffs.
Kyle Ostrow opened the scoring for the Pioneers with his 13th goal of the season in the second period. The Tigers' Chad Rau scored his 18th goal of the year with less than two minutes to play, sending the game into overtime Saturday.
Denver (20-10-5, 16-8-4) finished in second place in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and Colorado College (16-10-10, 12-9-7) finished fourth. Denver will host Alaska Anchorage in the first round of the WCHA playoffs March 13-15, while the Tigers will host Minnesota Duluth next weekend.
