Aaron Cook struck out six and catchers Yorvit Torrealba and Michael McKenry each homered as the Colorado Rockies beat the San Diego Padres 13-11 Friday for their first win this spring.
The Rockies had started out 0-8 in exhibition play. Trailing 13-6, the Padres scored five times in the ninth inning, highlighted by Chad Huffman's grand slam.
Cook allowed up one run and four hits in four innings. Colorado reliever Huston Street gave up consecutive homers to Chase Headley and Kyle Blanks.
