Broncos Marshall Arrested; Charges Dropped

Denver-based lawyer Harvey Steinberg says a disorderly conduct charge against his client, Denver Broncos player Brandon Marshall, has been dismissed in an Atlanta court.

The Pro Bowl receiver had been facing the possibility of a lengthy suspension from the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct code before the charge was dropped today.

Marshal was suspended for a game last year for repeated run-ins with the law. This time, he was looking at a possible suspension of eight games or more.

Marshall was arrested in Atlanta yesterday morning following a fight and spent five hours in Atlanta City Jail before posting $300 bond.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello tells The Associated Press today the league is investigating the latest incident.
