Tigers Keep Gold Pan

Joe Colborne scored a goal for the University of Denver with less than a minute remaining and the Pioneers played a scoreless overtime against Colorado College for a 3-3 tie last night.

The Tigers retain the Gold Pan, the trophy given to the winner of the annual series between the teams, with the tie.

Colborne recorded his second goal of the game with 56.3 seconds left in the third period to tie the score at 3-3.

Dustin Jackson also scored a goal for Denver (17-9-4 overall, 13-7-3 Western Collegiate Hockey Association).

Recording goals for Colorado College (14-9-8, 10-8-5 WCHA) were Stephen Schultz, Cody Lampl and Bill Sweatt
