The University of Dallas men’s basketball team went on a 26-6 run midway through the second half and pulled away for a 77-59 victory over Colorado College in a non-conference game on Friday afternoon at CC’s Reid Gymnasium.
Jeff Pritchard scored a 12 of his game-high 18 points and dished out three assists as the Crusaders turned a 44-41 edge with 10:31 remaining in the game into a 70-47 advantage with only 3:05 to play.
During that span of 7:26, the Tigers missed nine of 11 shots and committed five turnovers.
Travis Ekmark had 16 points and eight rebounds for UD, while Anthony Garrett added 12 points
Lance Jacobs had 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds to pace CC. Brady Ohlsen added 11 points, while Jeff chipped in with a season-high 10.
Despite making only eight of 31 field goal attempts in the first, CC trailed by only four points at intermission thanks primarily to a 27-13 advantage in rebounds. The Tigers out-rebounded the Crusaders 47-32 for the game.
Colorado College will play its final home game of the season on Saturday when the Tigers play host to Austin College in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference game at 4 p.m.
