Unranked Kansas beat Colorado a 12th straight time Saturday, winning 73-56 with Sherron Collins scoring 18 points and Cole Aldrich having 15 points and 10 rebounds
Collins was 5-for-14 shooting for Kansas (13-4, 2-0 Big 12 Conference), winners of 5-of-6. Tyshawn Taylor added 14 points for the Jayhawks, which beat Colorado for the 12th straight time.
Cory Higgins led Colorado (8-8, 0-2) with 20. Colorado hasn't beaten Kansas since Jan. 22, 2003 in Boulder. The Buffaloes have lost two in a row and 5-of-6.
Colorado trailed 45-36 on Dwight Thorne's layup early in the second half only to have Tyrel Reed have two 3-pointers as part of a 7-0 run to get the Jayhawks their biggest lead: 50-36 with 9:58 left. Reed's third 3-pointer of the half and baskets by Aldrich and Markieff Morris extended the lead for Kansas to 62-43 with 6:13 left.
Collins had 15 points by halftime, and Kansas outscored the Buffaloes 17-5 over the final 6:56 of the first half.
