The Saints have hired Bill Johnson as their new defensive line coach, replacing Ed Orgeron.
Saints spokesman Greg Bensel confirmed Johnson's hiring Saturday night. He did not give details.
Johnson was the the defensive line coach with Denver, which ranked 26th in sacks in the regular season.
Orgeron left to join the Tennessee staff under new Volunteers head coach Lane Kiffin.
The Saints, who went 8-8 and missed the playoffs despite having the top-ranked offense in the NFL, are also seeking an offensive coordinator to replace Gary Gibbs, who was fired Wednesday.
