The Denver Broncos take a breather today before interviewing three more candidates to replace coach Mike Shanahan.
Owner Pat Bowlen and his advisers met with New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels in the Boston area yesterday, a day after interviewing Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, one of the most sought-after assistants in the league this year.
Tomorrow, they'll meet with Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. And Wednesday, they'll talk to Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive whiz Raheem Morris and the only in-house candidate for the job, offensive coordinator Rick Dennison.
Shanahan was fired last week. He was the winningest coach in Broncos' history. He led Denver to two Super Bowl trophies but just one playoff game in the decade since John Elway retired.
