The Colorado Avalanche will face the tough task Friday night of trying to get the puck past rookie goalie Steve Mason when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Mason has a league-best 1.69 goals-against average and will be looking to extend his franchise-record shutout streak to four games. Mason has played 20 games since being recalled from the minors in November.

Colorado is trying to extend its home winning streak to a season high-tying four games, while trying to bounce back from a 3-1 loss on the road against the Coyotes Wednesday.
