TCU has had more than two weeks off since being the first team to play its 11th game.
That gave the No. 15 Horned Frogs a chance for some needed rest and to prepare for a seldom-seen offense.
Still, not everything about the extended break was good for TCU.
There was the lingering sting from their last game, a Nov. 6 loss at Utah. That scrapped TCU's chances of breaking into the Bowl Championship Series or even the possibility of winning the Mountain West Conference outright.
But the Horned Frogs can still clinch a share of the MWC title.
First, they must beat Air Force in a matchup of one of the nation's top rushing offenses against TCU's top-ranked defense, and No. 16 BYU must defeat eighth-ranked Utah.
Game time for the Air Force-TCU matchup is 1:30 (Mountain time) tomorrow afternoon in Ft. Worth.
