The Denver Broncos say the NFL has named quarterback Jay Cutler as AFC offensive player of the week after his fourth-quarter comeback in last week's 34-30 win over Cleveland.
Cutler tied for the third-highest single-game passing yardage total (447) in Denver history and staged his fifth-career, fourth-quarter comeback, helping the Broncos overcome a 23-13 deficit. He completed 24-of-42 passes with three touchdowns and one interception for a 107.9 passer rating.
This is Cutler's first selection as player of the week in his three-year career. He was named AFC offensive player of the month in September.
