Jay Cutler and running back Michael Pittman were also nicked up in New England. They'll join receiver Brandon Stokley, running back Selvin Young and tight end Tony Scheffler in devoting the week off to getting healthy.

The rest of the squad will try to forget the fact Denver has dropped three of its last four, although the team still remains in first place in the mediocre AFC West.

Pittman says the team needs this week both mentally and physically. He pledges he'll play against Miami on Nov. 2 despite tender ribs and an aching neck.
