Anthony had the ball slapped out of his hand during practice Thursday, injuring his left ring finger. He had the hand wrapped up Friday at practice but X-rays were negative.

The 24-year-old Anthony averaged 25.7 points a game last season and a career-high 7.4 rebounds. He helped lead Team USA to a gold medal in the Beijing Olympics over the summer.

The Nuggets play the Timberwolves Friday night. Chucky Atkins will miss the game with an injured knee and Sonny Weems will be out because of a groin injury.
