Casey Wiegmann's impressive streak is on the line.

The Denver Broncos backup center has taken 7,062 straight snaps since 2001, the longest active streak among NFL linemen.

Now all he has to do is beat out incumbent Tom Nalen to keep it going.

Nalen has been hobbled in training camp by a sore left knee and Wieggman has slipped under center, taking Nalen's reps.

Wiegmann, who's entering his 13th season, had thoughts about retiring, but said the fire to keep playing was strong. He's even willing to play some guard if the Broncos need him to.
