The Denver Broncos have waived running back Mike Anderson, defensive end Trevor Pryce and tight end Jeb Putzier, clearing at least $10.6 million from under their salary cap before the start of free agency later this week.
The cap stands at $95 million, unless NFL owners and the players union can agree to expand it.
Anderson spent six seasons with the Broncos, who drafted him in 2000. He rushed for 1,487 yards his first season and for 1,014 yards this past season.
Pryce was a first-round pick in 1997 and has played nine seasons. He went to the Pro Bowl four straight times from 1999 to 2002.
Putzier was selected in the 2002 draft and spent four seasons with the Broncos.
