The Colorado Avalanche have signed former Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Andrew Raycroft and Swedish forward Per Ledin to one-year contracts.
Raycroft appeared in 19 games for Toronto last season, posting a 2-9-5 record with one shutout. He was due to earn $2.2 million next season, but the Maple Leafs put him on unconditional waivers Friday and said they would buy out the final year of his contract.
Raycroft is a former Calder Memorial Trophy winner as the league's rookie of the year with Boston in 2003-04.
Ledin had 16 goals, 17 assists and 137 penalty minutes in 52 games this past season with HV 71 Jonkoping of the Swedish Elite League.
Former Avalanche goalie Jose Theodore signed with the Washington Capitals.
