Three workers have been hurt in a crane accident at the construction site of the new Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington, Texas.

A team spokesman says a cable snapped as the crane was being lifted off the ground.

He says one worker was hit by the cable and transported by medical helicopter to a hospital. Two other workers who managed to jump out of the way of the cable were taken to a hospital by ambulance. There's no word yet on their conditions.

The stadium is scheduled to open for the 2009 season and will host the 2011 Super Bowl.

Thursday's accident came a day after a crane accident near downtown Dallas left one worker dead.
