The Colorado Rockies returned some pop to their lineup as Matt Holliday came off the disabled list.
The All-Star outfielder has been out since straining his left hamstring on May 24 while running out a grounder. To make room for him on the roster, the Rockies optioned outfielder Seth Smith to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
The slugger is hitting .321 with eight homers and 26 RBIs this season. He's also in the midst of a 10-game hitting streak. He went 0-for-3 but scored a run after reaching base by getting hit by a pitch in the Rockies' 10-5 win over the Giants at Coors Field.
