The Denver Broncos' two-week quarterback camp ended today, with coach Mike Shanahan offering flattering words for second round draft choice Eddie Royal.

He says the receiver and punt returner from Virginia Tech has shown consistency in his hands.

Royal says he still has room to improve.

He is one of 11 wide receivers in camp vying for four or five roster spots.

Denver has been looking for a topflight returner for the last two years.

During his senior year, Royal returned 14 kickoffs for 316 yards and a 22.6 yards per return average. He also had 455 yards and two touchdowns on 31 punt returns for a 14.7-yard average.
