The Colorado State Rams concluded their spring training today but there are many starting positions still up for grabs before the season begins.
First-year coach Steve Fairchild says some positions on the team have been defined but there are players who still have to battle for starting spots. Among those is the starting quarterback slot.
Fairchild took over for Sonny Lubick, who was replaced after Colorado State finished 3-9 last season.
Billy Farris is the only quarterback on the team with experience at the college level. He's competing for the starting position against junior Grant Stucker and red-shirt freshmen T.J. Borcky and Klay Kubiak.
The Rams will open their season Aug. 30 against the Colorado Buffaloes.
