The Denver Nuggets are 17 games over .500, but they could still miss the playoffs in the loaded Western Conference.
The Nuggets will be going for a sixth straight win as they hit the road to open a home-and-home series with the Phoenix Suns tonight.
Denver had been sitting in ninth place in the West behind Golden State since the end of February. But the Nuggets defeated Golden State on Saturday, and Golden State defeated Dallas last night.
Now Denver, Golden State and Dallas are in a three-way tie for seventh place in the Western Conference.
With nine games remaining, Dallas, Golden State and Denver all have a record of 45-and-28.
