Jimenez Struggles Through Spring Training Game

Ubaldo Jimenez had a rough outing Monday but the Colorado Rockies beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-5 in a spring training game.

Jimenez allowed 10 hits and five runs in four innings, and he walked three while striking out three.

In his last three starts, Jimenez has been tagged for 12 runs in 12 and two-thirds innings.

The Rockies' bullpen covered the last five innings without allowing a run.

Chris Iannetta went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and two RBIs. Iannetta raised his batting average to .344 this spring.

The Brewers had 14 hits but left 10 runners on base.

After the game, Colorado manager Clint Hurdle picked Jayson Nix as the Rockies' starting second baseman. Nix went 1-for-2 with a double and a walk against the Brewers and is batting .300 this spring.
